YUAN Jing

 Hi,I'm Yuan Jing from Tsinghua University, Beijing. I can't express how excited I am now
 looking forward to meeting you guys in Beijing! I am sure that we can have a colorful and 
meaningful summer together not only working for the projects but also enjoying the life
 here in Beijing! I hope to make friends with you guys and show the great hospitality of all the
 chinese students.

1. What topics do you have some expertise in and would you be willing to help others learn them? My field of research is network security. Recently I am focusing on the network anomaly traffic detection which is based on the architecture of network.I have done some research on traffic analysis employing the imforamtion theory and statistical method. Surely I am willing to share my experience and knowledge in related projects.

2. What do you want to learn at the CSSS?

  Firstly, I want to get a big picture of different topics in complex network system with the lectures and projects. Secondly,I would like to learn in details the basic models and different methods in complex network system.

3. Do you have any projects or research interests that would benefit from an interdisciplinary approach?

  Currently I am thinking about processing the network traffic using the theory of stochastic process and signal processing.

4. Do you have any ideas for what sort of project you would like to do work on with other CSSS students this summer?

  Frankly speaking, I don't have the specific idea of the project but I prefer to work on the projects about the network data analysis.

5. Suppose you could travel one-hundred years in the future and ask researchers any three questions. What would those questions be?

  (1)How intelligent is the "aritifical intelligence"?
   (2) Can we actually trust the Internet? Can everything be electroniclized?
   (3) Can we cure all the diseases with gene analysis?
