OK I've calmed down a bit now.

I'm actually going to Beijing five weeks early to learn some of the language with LISA-Travel :-)

Well, I'm a theoretical physicist but I spend my PhD time mostly on either stochastic calculus or stochastic systems biology. With a postdoc colleague I have been working on creating a stochastic version of an existing foodweb model in which the network structure is evolved and grown from a single species. With the increased amount of computer time needed we have also been looking at parallelizing the code.

Still got to get a visa!
