Hi! I can't wait to meet everyone. I told my friends at a going away party that I needed an "academic picture" to post to this website, and here's what I got :).
I'm working on my PhD in psychology at Cornell University in Ithaca, New York. I work with Michael Spivey, who has developed a dynamical systems approach to mind, and who has recently published a fascinating book called _The Continuity of Mind_ (Oxford University Press, 2007). I am interested in applying the dynamical systems approach to nonconscious mental processes. In particular, I am currently exploring how nonconscious prejudices, biases, and intentions dynamically resolve into consciously-held propositional beliefs.
Santa Fe is going to be great, and I will be completely up for any kind of camping, hiking, exploring, or other outdoorsy stuff.
