2014 REU Program Schedule:


Tuesday, June 3: Arrive Santa Fe, check in at St. John’s College 11:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Reception and dinner 5:30-8:00 pm in Peterson Student Center on the second floor

'Week 1, June 4-11
9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., attend Complex Systems Summer School lectures in the Great Hall, second floor, Peterson Student Center at St. John’s College

12:00-1:30 p.m. lunch in the dining hall, first floor, Peterson Student Center

2:00-5:00 p.m. carpool from St. John’s College to the Santa Fe Institute. Meetings with Ginger Richardson, Program Director and potential mentors

Week 2, June 12-18
Finalize decisions on mentors and projects. Brief abstract of research project due to Ginger by 5:00 p.m. on Friday, June 14

Weeks 3-8
Work on projects

Week 9-10
Project presentations. Final project paper due by 5:00 pm, Wednesday, August 13

August 16: Check out and departures


    • Please note that, with the exception of Week 1, you are expected to work at SFI Monday through Friday from approximately 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
    • With the exception of Week 1, lunch will be provided 12:00-1:00 p.m. at SFI.
