As for me, my interest in complex systems stems from both research and practice.  In addition to my role as a systems engineer at MITRE, I am completing my doctorate at the George Washington University in human and organizational systems.  I also have a BS and MS in engineering.  Prior to joining MITRE, I served ten years in the U.S. Marine Corps.

Most importantly - I have been blessed with a wonderful family - my wife, Kelly; our two sons, Brendan (5) and Kyle (18 months); and our two Siberian Huskies, Rangeley and Vardamis.
