I'm the technical lead/manager of a small group of scientist, engineers and analysts at Lockheed Martin's Advanced Technology Center who focus on 'system of system' modeling and simulation in support of effectiveness analysis. Our goal is to provide advice on what systems the U.S. Government ought to procure in order provide the best 'bang for the buck'. In recent years networking is starting to have a profound influence of how the behavior of these elements are coordinated. I'm looking to understand the role of complexity theory in designing and controlling these next generation architectures.

Answer's to Dan's questions:

1. What are your main interests? Feel free to include a "pie in the sky" big idea!

2. What sorts of expertise can you bring to the group?

3. What do you hope to get out of the CSSS?

4. Do you have any possible projects in mind for the CSSS?
