Mika Straka , IMT School for Advanced Studies Lucca - Italy
I am a German PhD student working in Lucca, Italy. I am a theoretical physicist and have focused my studies on statistical and dynamic systems. After my master’s thesis, which dealt with one-dimensional systems of interacting particles, I have decided to scale up to higher dimensions and to concentrate on complex networks. I am fascinated by the appearance of unexpected phenomena in interacting systems. Currently, I am working on the international trade network, and am interested in complex systems and theoretical approaches to their description in general.
I love rock climbing and play Go, which has not changed since AlphaGo took over.
