I am a second year PhD student in the Environmental Dynamics Lab at Cardiff University's School of Earth and Ocean Sciences. My dog, Lola, keeps me outdoors at least once a day, and I enjoy a Friday night social with the staff and postgrads here in Cardiff.

My research interests are in the emergent dynamics of human-altered coastlines. By repeatedly widening beaches with imported sand, we have fundamentally changed the way sediment moves around large stretches of coast. My focus is on the Atlantic and Gulf coasts of the U.S., where beach nourishment projects have been ubiquitous since the 1970s.
