The Santa Fe Institute will host a working group with a broad scope to characterize healthy and sustainable agriculture systems and to identify challenges in the transition to these systems.  These challenges can establish an agenda for future work across a broad network of groups concerned with the role of agriculture in human lives, communities, and global ecosystems.  Healthy and sustainable agriculture systems will link food, feed, fiber, fuel, forestry, and other products into diverse and robust networks that account for a full range of natural and human impacts.
