There are a number of approaches to modeling social systems that I'd like to become more familiar with--game theory, evolutionary game theory, agent-based models, ???. Would anyone with some experience applying any of these tools be willing to give a tutorial, perhaps give a glimpse at the specific ways in which they've put them to use? Paul H. | |||

Why don't we agree to meet over lunch on Friday, after Scott Page's lectures? If it looks like there are too many of us to chat around those big tables (between this thread and Kai's, there are probably close to 10 people), we can deke off to one of the nice conference rooms in the santa fe hall. |

I’d like to get a group together to discuss model representations of social systems – what are the different approaches we can take, and what is the scope of the knowledge we can get out of them (and how should it be used).
