I am an Archaeology PhD student as the Cotsen Institute of Archaeology at UCLA. My research interests include modeling in the social sciences, ancient urbanism, and comparative archaeology in Central Asia, the Near East and the Mediterranean.  In my work, I apply a human complex systems perspective to archaeological case studies. I am currently examining the nature of self-organizing elements in ancient human systems.
