Theoretical biology has become a major component of research focused on effective intervention in viral diseases like HIV.  Much recent work is focused on finding vaccines against this virus.  We would like to bring together scientists working on a variety of topics of HIV biology, both experimental and theoretical, to see how the different activities can be coordinated in the service of developing effective vaccines and their evaluation.

Abstract

Theoretical biology has become a major component of research focused on effective intervention in viral diseases like HIV. Much recent work is focused on finding vaccines against this virus. We would like to bring together scientists working on a variety of topics of HIV biology, both experimental and theoretical, to see how the different activities can be coordinated in the service of developing effective vaccines and their evaluation.
