Obviously I have an interest in complex systems, but more specifically I am interested in understanding how groups of individuals collaborate to generate problem solutions.  This topic naturally lends itself to a complex systems approach because there are a large number of interactions between different types of individuals, which may (or may not) produce a novel solution to the problem at hand.

Questions and Answers

What are your main interests?

Obviously I have an interest in complex systems, but more specifically I am interested in understanding how groups of individuals collaborate to generate problem solutions. This topic naturally lends itself to a complex systems approach because there are a large number of interactions between different types of individuals, which may (or may not) produce a novel solution to the problem at hand.

What sort of expertise can you bring to the group?

My background is in Computer Science and I am currently working on my PhD in Computational Social Science, so I have quite a bit of experience in computer programming and agent-based modeling.

What do you hope to get out of the CSSS?

I want to learn how researchers from different research fields handle the analysis of complex systems. This will be helpful as I continue work on my dissertation.

Do you have any possible projects in mind for the CSSS?

I am still thinking about possible projects, but in general would like to work on a model that has simple rules, but still generates interesting behavior.
