In my spare time I love to cook/bake and then eat it. That hobby has led directly to another - running. I'm looking forward to exploring Santa Fe and spending some quality time with Amory Lovins. | In my spare time I love to cook/bake and then eat it. That hobby has led directly to another - running. I'm originally from Grand Rapids, Michigan and I went to undergrad at a small liberal arts college called Alma College. Since graduation I've had various adventures including interning in DC, doing a Fulbright in Toronto, backpacking solo through Central America, working at the US Embassy in Peru, and most recently living in Atlanta.
Sustainability is my passion and my method is business. Next fall I am starting my MBA and Masters in Sustainable Systems at the University of Michigan. The schools houses the Erb Institute for Global Sustainable Enterprise. I'm excited about the program and this summer's institute will get me back into school mode.
In Atlanta, I worked for a company called Interface. Founded by Ray Anderson, we manufacture modular carpet and made a name for ourselves by becoming sustainability pioneers in the 90s. I helped launch their sustainability consulting firm to spread their sustainability expertise to other companies. If you'd ever like a tutorial on all the cool manufacturing processes we use to make the most sustainable carpet on the planet, let me know! I will probably tell you regardless of if you ask.
In my spare time I love to cook/bake and then eat it. That hobby has led directly to another - running. I'm looking forward to exploring Santa Fe and spending some quality time with Amory Lovins.
