I am a Biochemistry PhD student and Bioinformatics Masters student at the Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, VA. I am also a practicing Emergency Physician.  My main research interest is applying complex system analysis to human physiology and disease processes.  I am also interested in using network theory to understanging complex polygenic diseases.

I am interested in applying complex system analysis and network theory to human physiology and disease processes. Currently, I am studying wound healing, sepsis, atherosclerosis, and polycystic ovarian syndrome using ODEs and network theory.
 
2. What sorts of expertise can you bring to the group?
I am a physician with a background in biochemistry, computer science, and bioinformatics.
 
3. What do you hope to get out of the CSSS?
I hope to gain knowledge and practical experience in analysing complex sytems using computational modeling techniques.
 
4. Do you have any possible projects in mind for the CSSS? 
Modeling the formation of an atherosclerotic plaque in the coronary arteries.
