I am an Assistant Professor at the University of Arizona in the School of Natural Resources and the Environment (SNRE) where my research is focused on terrestrial hydrology and biometeorology. My PhD is in Geological Sciences from the University of Colorado, and I also have a Bachelors in Mathematics from Kalamazoo College in Michigan. My husband and I are bike commuters, urban gardeners, and love outdoor recreation (which in Tucson is tough this time of year!).
Global Sustainability is one area that many students in SNRE are very interested in, and I hope that my participation in this Summer School will better prepare me to serve this population of students.
In my research, I see many ways that a society seeking a sustainable trajectory could learn from healthy ecosystems.
