Most of my work has been in distributed systems, starting with video-based ones (a.k.a. television networks) and most recently with web-based ones. My research tends to center on formal rationales for managing the complex distributed systems my teams have built. Having grown up with the Internet, I hope to refine an analytic approach to understanding certain aspects I have observed.
