[[Image:fountain2.jpg|left]]I just received my Ph.D. in Sociology from the University of Arizona where I concentrated on social networks.  My interests are in how networks are structured, dynamic processes within networks, and the effects of structure on individual and network-level outcomes.  I am particularly interested in theories of network behavior that address how information and other resources move through a network, how actors in a network respond to risk and uncertainty, and how networks evolve over time.  The types of outcomes I study include the development of power, status, and trust (at the individual level) as well as inequality, solidarity, and heterogeneity (at aggregate levels).
