	I am a PhD student, in the process of transferring from an Urban Planning program to Milano the New School for Public Policy in New York. My background is in environmental planning and policy and my current research interest is in food systems planning. I'm particularly interested in how to mitigate negative environmental impacts of the food system and hope to identify ways that complexity studies can aid in my research. I'm fairly new to the field of complex systems and though I have some experience with agent-based modeling, most other complexity tools will be completely new to me. So I look forward to learning from others, picking up a new set of skills and finding inspiration.
