Nearest Airport: The major airport connection to Santa Fe is Albuquerque, New Mexico, which is located approximately 60 miles south of Santa Fe. Most major airlines, including Southwest Airlines, fly into Albuquerque (code ABQ). American Airlines has regular flights into the Santa Fe Airport (code SAF) from Dallas (DFW) or Los Angeles (LAX).

TRAVEL TO SANTA FE: We expect that you will reserve and purchase your own air and ground travel and pay for them directly. If you have been awarded a travel scholarship, please bring your original receipts with you and you will be reimbursed after your arrival in Santa Fe up to the amount indicated in your award letter. If you have not yet sent your arrival information to Juniper Lovato (juniper@santafe.edu), please do so immediately.

GROUND TRANSPORTATION FROM ALBUQUERQUE INTERNATIONAL SUNPORT: You may reach St. John's College from the Albuquerque International Sunport (approximately 90 minutes) with Sandia Shuttle (http://www.sandiashuttle.com or toll free 888-775-5696). The cost is $25.00 one way or $50.00 round trip. With the busy summer tourist season in Santa Fe, reservations are mandatory. You may find the Sandia Shuttle desk in the baggage claim area at the airport. Be sure to indicate St John's College as your "Drop Off Location" when making the reservation. Ask the driver to take you to the parking circle for Peterson Student Center. If you have a travel scholarship and your airline ticket cost less than the amount awarded, you may submit your shuttle expense for reimbursement.

Also available is the New Mexico Rail Runner Express with service to and from Santa Fe, Monday through Saturday. See nmrailrunner.com for updated schedules/connections. The Rail Runner also offers a discount if you purchase your tickets online as well as student discounts with proper identification. Students will need to take a cab to SFI from the train station.

GROUND TRANSPORTATION FROM SANTA FE AIRPORT: There is a shuttle from the Santa Fe airport called Road Runner that will take you to the College. For reservations call (505) 424-3367.

CAR RENTAL: Car rental is available at both airports. Note that if you have a travel scholarship car rental expenses CANNOT be reimbursed by SFI. You must be 21 to rent a car. It is possible to rent a car just for a weekend in Santa Fe. Refer to information on http://www.santafe.edu/about/contact-us.php regarding SFI's corporate arrangement with Enterprise Rent-a-Car.

PERSONAL CARS: If you are driving your car to Santa Fe and would like riders, we suggest you contact fellow participants in your area. Free long-term parking is available at the College with a parking permit (assigned on arrival). If you let Juniper know in advance that you will be arriving with a personal or rental car, she would be happy to secure the proper documents for you prior to check in.

You can also travel to nearby Lamy Station by Amtrak; however, arranging ground transportation from Lamy to Santa Fe and especially to St John's College is sometimes undependable. Greyhound also travels to Santa Fe; should you use Greyhound the only way to get from the bus station to the campus would be by taxi (Capital City Cab 505 438 0000).
