<div>Hi I am Sridhar from the Institute of Mathematical Sciences, Chennai, India. I am into my second year of PhD in physics. My primary area of research interest is in the formation of patterns in biological excitable media like the heart. More specifically I work on developing chaos control algorithms for controlling life threatening cardiac arrhythmias like fibrillation. I am also interested in sociological questions like the formation of social hierarchies and cultural diffusion. <br />
<br />
On the personal front, I am influenced by deep ecology principles and I am extremely interested in studying the phenomena of what Marx called the "metabolic rift". I play cricket, volleyball and badminton and I love to write and I blog. Further I like to try out new things... like I recently got into learning acting.
